i actuly drove for 10 years before I went into the Army for 10 years, my dad drove all his life, only reason i'm having to go back through school is i wasnt able to get my dot physical while I was in korea for 3 years and wasnt able to keep my cdl. so trust me I have every right to make whatever comments I see fit to make. I've already been there and done that.

Guys this is a very simple issue. The man joined TMC because they say they will send you home 46 out of 52 weekends. He was willing to do all the rest. His top priority was to see his family. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT????
TMC is the one that fell short here, no one else. VERY SIMPLE.

losttrucker, Blind Dog and milskired Thank this.

look i commend all of the military for serving since i wasn't accepted by uncle sam to serve; but this is trucking, not the us military. this is a totally different thing here.

Deleted a quote, just passing by

oh i read that part, also with u saying ur unwilling to pay dues as well. million plus milers like myself didn't get where we are today in this industry by whining about this & that. most young drivers take jobs because of what they are told. like always said; if u believe everything u hear, i got some ocean front property in wyoming to sell u. i'm not disrespecting u @ all, just making my brutally honest comments that obviously no one can handle

also i'd like to add, i don't have anything against the military men & women, none whatsoever. but all i see from the people who have served is that they think they should be catered to & given whatever they want since they served out country. this isn't the military no more, this is trucking; like uncle sam shaved ur head & molded u like they wanted u, trucking is different, they don't shave heads, mold u into who they want u to be, etc. all that is wanted is do ur job like in the military. u have a wife & family in the service & saw them very very very little, well otr trucking is similar to that; go regional for more hometime if that's what u want or maybe local. i'm not trying to start a fight i'm just saying how it is; it was like this before u come in & will be this should u leave. forgive me if i'm brutally honest, but i call it like i see it; everyone has opinions & the only one that should matter to u is ur own

I never asked for anything to be handed to me when I got out of the corp..... pretty sure I worked hard to get onto the JD fleet.
this job and company dont work for all. I do think what they did to blind is bs. It was different for me and I was home all the time. Now with my current spot at TMC I stay out a lot but my pay check reflects this.

i know alot of vets don't ask for anything to be handed to them, my dad is a viet nam vet & tells me all the time that he has trouble getting va help, & it upsets me but like he told me that's how it is for him & others. u worked hard for ur jd fleet position which is good & comendable. i agree with u on how blind was treated is total bs, however, like i said earlier, there are 2-3 sides of every situation. his, tmc's & the actual truth. i'm not calling no one a liar but others see things different. personally i think he gave up too soon as well as he should've kept fighting for a different dispatcher til he got one that did what he wanted for him. just sayin

Hometime is probably one of the top considerations for most drivers. It's just not right for a company to advertise on the web site home time that is not necessarily true. People make life changing decisions based on that information. For a company that is so disiplined and detail oriented, I am surprised they are misleading.
