I remember winter of 08' when the first storm came through Cheyenne, WY. Anti gel wasn't working in the fuel, and it was somewhere around -25 and Prime refused to put me in a hotel because my truck would not idle and the wabasto froze up leaving me to freeze in my truck. Really bad blizzard that rolled through. Was going to try and beat it out of the WMDC there and get on to SLC but they shut it down right as I was pulling out so I went back to the Pilot where I sat and didn't sleep a wink in fear I would freeze to death in my sleep even wearing a full snow suit, sheet's, comforter and pillow's on me trying to keep warm and I was steady freezing. Prime refused to do anything about it and night dispatch told me it was impossible for the bunk heater to freeze up and that went to show what they didn't know. Where could I go then? No where. All there was, was the pilot I was at and the wind was way to high to try dead heading to a hotel which I didn't have any money for anyway. Safe? Ha, that was the worst OTR experiance ever and my first year on the ice on my own to boot. #### regulations and that log book. I'll do what I deem necessary to survive rather than endur that #### again.
