I have tried, i really have.
So if I had to summarize,
A large portion of The Sleeper Birth Coalition really like to condescend the off duty crowd. Kind of a radical group overall. It's our way, or no, not the highway.
And the off duty crowd are happier and less angry towards others in general, causing them to live longer and get laid more often.
I get it now
Logging Off Duty Instead of Sleeper Berth

No, that's not at all what it is. This is the only group of people that I know that would interpret "Roses are red, violets are blue" to mean "This guy is saying they don't grow yellow roses!" I mean ya'll see #### that's just not there and twist #### into ad hominems that make no sense.
I'd like to know WHY the OP even MADE THIS THREAD when all he does is argue with everyone who does not agree with him. I mean, what was the point? Anyone wonder that? I know I have. -
You also have not show anywhere that it says you can not log it off duty, since after all sleeper is off duty.Oxbow and 4wayflashers Thank this.

I mean the reg goes as far as saying a driver who uses a sleeper berth to get his required break can log 10 hours off duty. 10 hours off duty is listed first lol.
There is no reg that says you need to log sleeper when you’re in the sleeper unless you're a team driver taking a 10.
Bro climb out of your sleeper and enjoy life a bit.Powder Joints Thanks this. -
395.8 (b)
"Shall" in legalese is not a request, it is a command.
There are three types of off duty: Plain Jane off duty, Sleeper Berth, and personal conveyance. Just like there's three kinds of on duty: regular old on duty, driving and the yard move. And the regulations pretty clearly state right there in 395.8(b) that regular off duty and sleeper berth be recorded on the logs differently.Last edited: Sep 30, 2024

You know I will keep going by what CHP and my lawyer advise me, I did admit the mistake about proposed law that has not gone thru, But I see no problem with logging off duty or sleeper berth as you wish, if anything logging sleeper berth and running in to use the head without changing it is a bigger issue than just logging off duty. I have used sleeper berth when doing a split but that's about the only time I use it. You have people on here that have a problem with me not leaving the sleeper during my break, often times I do not leave the sleeper berth during a break, I also do not discuss it with the Police. More times than not when they ask me questions, I tell them I choose to not talk to the Police, and so far most have been fine with that. But then there's jerk in every profession.4wayflashers Thanks this.

There should only be two log statuses: Off Duty (including SB), and On Duty (including driving).
