OK...till tomorrow..got to get some sleep before the wonders of the Shasta/Dunsmuir scale (SB)...might as well mess with their heads and be legal on the log as I go by!

######..brought the thread back to logging...MY BAD!

But for what it's worth....What's it worth? Worthless if you ask me...But as a way to pass time it's worth wonders! But I must wonder after all...Is it really worth it?

See you tomorrow my friend...For what it's worth.

I see some real smarties here.
I dont check my brakes every ####### day. I do check them. They aren't going to wear out in a ####### day. All i ####### said is that i dont have to get under the trailer to look at them...

Phroziac yes you should check your brakes everyday. I have a excellent example. I was pulled in the Castaic Scales for a Lvl 1. The trailer got a fix-ti ticket because a brake pad had come loose. The pad was in such a position that it was still effective. Every since I take a closer look at brakes. Oh BTW I P/Ued the trailer in the comapny yard and it was fine.

I check the brakes on every single trailer i pickup unless i get lazy, which happens sometimes. But thats not a pretrip. That's part of the process of picking up a trailer. Every once in a while i get to pick up an empty and have a choice of which one to take, and i look for...brake condition, body condition, E-Track or not, air ride or not, and tire condition basically. And air slide tandems vs the BS handle that never actually works.

I usually dont have the same trailer more than a day so it usually doesnt end up on my pretrip. but if i do than i do..

I still dont get under the trailer to check it! :)

i used to get under the trailer to check my kingpin but i recently learned a way to do that without getting under from another driver. Just get behind the landing gear and stick your head under there. Thats all.

Be careful what you ask for. I'm still trying to decipher the majority of Doyle's primary thread.
