i have an interview with a logging company tomorrow for some driving work. it's all local work, probably with set runs each day. i don't want to sound like a complete ignoramous when i go, so does anyone have any hints for me on what i should know/ask when i get there?

(i've probably asked this in the wrong section, so i apologize in advance if i have)

If you get to the receiver and they claim your load is showing less than the typical full load weight...
blame it on termites in transit. ;)

Is it a real log truck or a semi w/ bunks? Is it in the Mountains? Most times drivers just don't hop in a logger w/out some training.

I'm not sure how many mountains are in Australia...

    termites in transit ... check.
pay by km, tonne or hour ... check
no mountains where i live, but some steepish hills that definitely need down shifting to get up.
what's the difference between a real logging truck and a semi with bunks?
the guy i'm seeing know's i don't have any experience with this, so he's obviously willing to train me :D

Guess it doesn't matter. Logs are logs. Know how to throw a wrapper and bind your Logs. Off road driving helps, stay away from the edges and load truck has the right of way. Good luck.
