London, KY overnight tornado aftermath

Tornado caught on camera. No sirens or anything!

 

Unless the tornado clipped the power lines cutting off the electricity (there were power flashes) I don’t see how. Nighttime tornadoes are the worst,you have little or no warning!
Even then there should’ve warnings issued the minute there was radar indicated rotation in the storm-let alone a confirmed funnel cloud or tornado on the ground!

 

You can see some damage along I-70 in St Louis. Over 5,000 structures damaged or destroyed. The Love's in St Louis looked like it was shut down, not that I would ever stop there anyways.

 

Don't know but hopefully there was another emergency alert on the phones in that area.

 

Might have something to do with our current administration cutting funding for NOAA stations.

"Any time your phone buzzes with a watch, a warning, a tornado warning, a flash flood warning, that comes from the National Weather Service, people sitting there watching the radar nonstop and producing forecasts as well."

 

Cuts were made to FEMA as well. And the Atlantic hurricane season starts June 1st.
