    depends.....
if you lease on to a company you can get it thru them at a discount based on the value of the truck ($x.xx per week per $1,000 value)
or you can get your own again based on the trucks value ($x.xx per month per $1,000 value)

i got my own based on a $55,000 truck it's $210 a month..... if i used the companies it was $50 a week.....

the company i'm with will pay for your base plate, permits, EZPass, ifta and PrePass for millage base O/O's
i'm percentage base so they only pay for my permits, ifta, and EXPass OR PrePass 1 not both (i pick) they don't pay for my plate (they will payroll deduct it) so i have my own plate (i have to pay for it anyway so i have a TN plate) and i pay for my EZPass (i-pass)

i make better money being a percentage base..... what the millage base trucks think is a high paying load is about the minimum i will take to move my truck..... as a percentage base truck my pay is a minimum avg. of $0.75 a mile higher....

    T_TRUCKER• Thanks this.

Thanks man good info, sounds like you got a good company. So after I get my truck I shouldn't have much out of pocket expense to lease onto a company? I maybe got it confused with running your own numbers and the cost was very expensive. In your opionin what would be a better new truck, the volvo 780 or the cascadia evo?

up to you.... i like the volvo myself (ride, storage, room,TABLE) thats what i have, down side to a volvo is the only place you can have work down IS volvo.... most dealers open 07:00 monday and close 14:00 saterday (some only open 07:00-17:00 monday-saterday) so it takes longer to get in for repairs..... and may cost more....

If you have a Volvo Engine in your Volvo, the Stealership is most likely the only place that has the Volvo Software to properly Diagnose and Repair your engine. If it's equipped with a Cummins Engine, any Repair Shop can service the engine.
