I've done alright myself. Since leaving July 8:

Dallas, TX--Fort Smith, AR, Construction equipment
Fort Worth, TX--Fort Saskatchewan AB, CANADA, Steel Beams
    Plummer, ID--Denver, CO, Oak Lumber
Greeley, CO--Winnemucca, NV, Steel Beams.... delivering this monday. Some decent miles.

Received a service failure this morning for a CAT delivery in Clayton, NC that I knew I couldn't make since Friday evening, but Laredo goes home at 5 and weekend dispatch was no help.

So I'm in Mebane at the Petro and this is my time left...

You gotta push pretty hard sometimes on those Clayton/Sanford loads.

My first Clayton load wasn't so bad. This one's been a nightmare. Overweight by 1100 pounds on my drives. Before I even got to weigh, a truck caught on fire in the middle of 1472 trying to leave Laredo. Then after 4 reweighs and the truck fire, I was down to 22 on-duty hours remaining. About an hour shy of what I needed to get to Clayton on time. Then it was well passed 5 on Friday when I realized this, so everyone in Laredo is gone. Called weekend dispatch at 11am Saturday and was told just to talk to Jamie on Monday morning. I'm never agreeing to an appointment time until AFTER I get out of Laredo next time.

Next load picks up in Mebane tomorrow and delivers to Atlas Copco Thursday.

BS happens sometimes, for future reference though there is a scale we can use right next door to the Laredo yard. Just take that first left on the way out and go next door. I've gotten that load before and they had to take two pieces off to make it legal. My day wasn't the best either, dispatcher was pushing me hard to get back to Baton Rouge to reload after unloading in Freeport this morning, said I couldn't do it and didn't even try.

In green castle, pa. Picked up this morning in coatsville. Got 11' wide sheets of steel going to Shreveport, LA. I love having a printer in my truck. Got all my permits emailed to me and printed out, I can actually read them unlike the faxed ones.

That is one of the best drives for scenery and little traffic.
