How is Lone Star treating you. I am considering coming over in November. How are the miles, pay and home time.
-
I've been treated good myself. Miles are consistent until Sept/Oct.. then they drop off until like march or so, as does most of flatbed. Lonestar isn't cheap in what they'll accept so sometimes you get long deadheads for stuff. It's all the same tho.. you get paid either way. Pay is decent. If you have to be trained you start at like .38 or.39, jump to .40 after a month, then .42, .46, .48 for levels 1, 2, and 3. As for hometime, being in Bryan you shouldn't have too many problems. Being out of Fort Worth i'm expected to be out a minimum of 3 weeks but I tend to get through the house alot so it staved off needing to be home as much. However, I was always home early whenever I just wanted to go home.. but god forbid you have to be home for anything specific. In that respect, don't hold your breath as i've always been late by anywhere from 2 days to 7 days.

Finally loaded, was told my 4 pieces of dunnage was enough for this load. I get there at 8am this morning and need 9 pieces. Went over to the Houston yard and got the dunnage I needed. Returned back to the shipper at 10am, started to get loaded then the guys went to lunch.
Got loaded at 1330, then came over to this lives off of i610 to weigh out and make sure I'm legal. Everything's good to go so now I'm on my way to New Jersey.

Jersey huh? Better you than me. LOL
Get loaded in the morning for Houston from Decatur, IL. This month will have netted me 10,200 miles. I'm not complaining. Especially since I was on the project for 2 days and the 4th of July weekend was a busy for miles. So I lost about 6 days for good miles.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -

LST's 8ft policy will automatically have you over secured, so next time you get pipe like that, just stick to the 8ft rule and you'll be set by both DOT standards and LST's and youll save yourself a little work.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Well, im at the sherevport petro, 60 miles away from my drop in the morning, then bounce over to huntsville for a drop date of friday, but im thinking ill be dropping it thursday.
