65 mph. Faster than a lot of fleets, but still slow.

In my opinion, there is no one company thats best for "truckers". Only whats a best fit for you. If you dont like working outside in all kinds of weather, from extreme heat to extreme cold, rain, snow, ice or plenty of mud then opendeck frieght may not be for you. Also, open deck frieght takes a reasonable amount of common sense, and a bit of imagination at times. The imagination comes in when you have to haul something that isnt a plain strap/chain job...you have to be ablr to picture how the securement is going to work for you or not, and figure out how to fix it if need be.

That being said, LST is a pretty good and fair company, for me so far at least. If you're wanting to get home on a fairly regular basis at a scheduled time, then ee probably arent the best fit. If you're flexible on your hometime needs, and are willing to put in the work and commitment, then theres a chance you may fit in well here. Only you know for sure. Ask as many questions as you like, and we will answer truthfully.

Broke down yesterday in Whitehorse, Yukon. My oil pressure went to below 20 PSI and my coolant level dropped to nothing. Come to find out my coolant was draining through the DPF system and was in turn burning my oil. If they can salvage the DPF system, I should be out of here tonight, if not, at the earliest tomorrow. However, Monday is a holiday and I could be here until Tuesday which would blow.

Unfortunately that won't be the case. Service department here in Whitehorse just informed me I won't be out the shop until Tuesday at the earliest. Monday is Thanksgiving here.

Tell me about it. And everything here is twice as much as it normally is in Canada. So, it's like 2½ times what we'd pay for anything in the states. I ordered Domino's last night and it was $35 for 2 medium pizzas and a cheese bread.
