holy crap that is crazy! I got a steak in Alberta once and it cost $50 with drinks. I just added a global calling plan and data to my phone so at least that will work up there now.

Holy potatoes. That would cost around $20 with a good tip here in FL. I feel for you buddy. Hopefully things will get better. Nice to see you posting.

I had to add the calling plan for Canada too. It sucked going 2 days without a phone. I can text message for no additional charge, but that doesn't do me any good on some of these roads.

Think breakdown is still $150/day been a while since I've had to find out though, layover I've never got, never sat that long. Detention is $15/hr after two hours.

Layover is $7.50/hr for a max 10 hours a day. It only starts after you've sat for a full 24 hour period.

And, don't forget, you don't get layover on sunday. Sunday don't even count for the time down.

You will make a good choice with LST. I was with them for a short time. But. They are one of the best. If I did not have a high paying job for a large corp. I would back there I a min. You must not worry about your home time as they will get you home as close as they can. If you are willing to run as they ask then you will do OK. Good luck and keep us posted.

I will say one thing I don't like is the home time policy, but i knew about it before I got hired so It's no ones fault but my own. I planned on staying out 8-10 weeks at a time since I did that before.

But, now i have a girlfriend and things change. I like my hometime, i stay out long enough to make a chunk of money then go home. Usually 4-6 weeks, but this time im trying to get home the beginning of november for personal reasons. Came out on the 1st so it'll be about 4 weeks, which is long enough for me.

I like making money, but I like being home too, so ive found a good medium for me.

It's a good place to make money as an experienced driver
