HOS 70/34 thing changing I'm expecting it to drop because of the max 70 hours in a 7 day period. So i'll be running no more than 9 hours a day MAX.
Maybe this is a dumb question but can you explain why only 9hrs and not 10?

Better to roll ur Recap hrs. If u ran driving/on duty hrs at 10 aday, in 7 days ur out of hrs. But if u run say 8.75-9 u can roll ur hrs w/o running out being forced to take a reset. When that rule comes into effect u can only take 1 reset every 168 hrs( something like that. I might be off a few hrs)
-
Bingo. And yeah... its 168 hours from the start of your last 34.

You have me mistaken for a true Texan.. GO TIGERS! and.. GO RED WINGS while we're at it!
Most of us are on e-logs... some are still making the transition in the 379's. -
Some elogs, some paper. The owner operators run paper logs though.
Yes, I'm so happy now that I got that load off me and picking up a load in the morning going to Corpus Christi, tx -
OK we all are waiting to hear how the big PARTY went this weekend.

If you log about 8-9 hours a day you would always have some hours to work everyday. The 70 hour rule is for 8 days. 10 hours a day for seven days equals 70. You would have to take the 8th day off. Unless you could fit in a 34 hour restart. Was applying to Landstar but decided against it due to e-logs.DrtyDiesel and Bigdubber Thank this.
