I know McElroy will have you home weekly. I browsed their site one day for the hell of it. I've read that boyd is full of micromanagement and you won't make the money at TMC that you will at lonestar after having talked to a few guys.. not even close. Not sure about Wylie, however.

Guys,
I think he referring to the layoff of office workers as mentioned previously on this thread. Just my educated guess.
KHDrtyDiesel and REDBEAN Thank this. -
That's what I thought too. As far as I know the drivers are unaffected by the lay offs in the office. They'll be another driver position once I turn my truck in.The Challenger Thanks this. -
ah that, from talking to drivers who have been around longer than I they sometimes lay office staff off for a while then bring them back when things pick up. Not sure the reason, maybe expecting some slow months but I haven't seen any slowdown yet. Then again that's trucker talk so probably 5% of it has some merit.
djtrype and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
Appears my alternator went out as well while in the shop. Not sure why that too an extra day to do, but so be it.
That's what I've heard too. Ron stated in orientation he was laid off before for like 6 months and then came back on when business picked up. From what I've heard, they never lay off drivers. Not even 4-axles who are salary. Wind projects were severely down this year and that's the bread and butter right now. As I understand it, there are usually 5-6 projects a year and this year there was only 1 I heard of.
Edit to add: I don't believe Lone Star is hurting in capital. I just think Tex wants to keep the profit margin at a reasonable figure.AZS, DieselDog81 and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
This may be hearsay, but ive heard it from a few different people inside and out of this company. There was a bill up for.signature that wasnt signed until late this year, and so all the wind projects were waiting for that bill to be signed so they are trying to play catch up right now. I think next spring we will see a big wind project push.
djtrype Thanks this. -
I talked to one of the drivers on one of the wind projects and they said its about to pick up big time.
