    If time is NOT of the essence, you might put out some feelers with some local tow companies to see if they have anything heading down that way...and if you can wait until they DO, then you'll only have to pay one-way instead of the round trip. It really is hit & miss, though, with pricing. A company that quoted me $750 to go 80 miles to a Mack dealer up by my folks gave me a quote I couldn't pass up when I asked for S&G what it would cost to take me home to the Mack dealer I normally go to which was a 350 mile tow...only $1400. Never know until you ask, so make some calls and see what can be worked out. Much easier if you have time for them to find something for the way down (or for the way back if a local-to-where-the-truck-is company)...might get almost half the bill knocked off.
