Long Term Truck storage

My truck sat for 6 months after I bought it before I started working it. Unknown how long it sat before I bought it but I believe it was a fresh trade in. I drove it around bobtail a couple of times during that period. It had probably 10 or 20 gallons of fuel in each tank while it sat and luckily the wheel seals never crapped out. Didn't disconnect the batteries or anything. No additives in the fuel. Never had any of the sorts of problems people say are normal..

 

seen plenty of trucks sit for 6-9 and even 12 months and never get moved, started or considered.

They all did just fine. Might have had to put a charger on the batteries when you went back to it. But fine never the less.

Guard really only uses equipment about 2 weeks out of the year. The rest of the year it sits idle with little or no attention to it.
