One of my longest P/U was in Joliet,Il,i forgot company name,i know they were loading lcd tv for walmart and sam's.It was few days before Christmas, there was 15-20 trucks waiting for door.My app was 1800,i got there 1730,of course p/u number was wrong, like always, and after giving the right one, they told me to park and wait. They woke me up at 6am and I got loaded at 8:30am.I was there 2 more times after that, and both times i had to wait at least 10 hours.Once i was picking up load @ Ceva in Elk grove village,Il,app 1700,I was there on time, slept all night, and they told me at 8am that my load is canceled.Got 150$ for that though.
Longest Live Load/Unload? Can u top this?

Here is what I see happening to these shippers and receivers that delay us more than 2-3 hours. When all the HOS mandates go into effect they will have drivers sitting up against docks and in their yards unable to move because they are out of hours. Then maybe they will realize that they need to hire more help or do what ever it takes to get us out of there in a reasonable time. I know that they will probable call the cops but they will be told that they can not make us move until we have hours back. That is why they are fighting on our side not to make the HOS mandate go into effect. It will be very interesting to see this all unfold.

Aww Sazook... you KNOW all you have to do is call the US Marshalls on them lousy cops!

No they can not get you for trespassing because you were invited on their property to deliver their goods. There fore you are not trespassing. If you were not delivering or picking up a load then they can get you for trespassing. And believe me unless it is a rookie cop they will tell them that they can not make us move. Why is it that you think that the shippers and receivers have suddenly joined the fight against HOS laws? It is because they know they can not legally make us move if we are out of hours.

pickups are not really a problem, you can always leave
its when the receiver jerks you around is when you are held as a hostage -
