This is true but watch how things change on the new electronic logs. And if we all fight together there will be no loading windows. If we do things right we can get just as many rules and regulations laid out for the shippers and the receivers on detention times and limits. But there is the problems us all fighting together.

You know, go ahead and try it. When it happens, let us know and we'll take up a collection for your bail money, m'kay?

Once you deliver or pick up the goods from them, your business with them is done and they can ask you to leave.

First off once they have asked you to leave and you tell them you are out of hours you then call your company. Put them on the phone with your company. If that does not work you call the US Marshall's I will bet that before you are done dialing they will leave you alone. They do not have a leg to stand on if they have run you out of hours and you can not get to a safe haven. I do not need bail money.

There is a liability issue here on both sides especially if the shipp/cons has space and what not ..
The issue here is a total system failure nationwide for adequate truck parking.
Also a lack of empathy from corporate america

Dear Double R why don't you talk to a lawyer then come back and talk to me. They have already tried to do it to some of the drivers. They were not able to tow them and had to leave them alone. The Federal laws supersede all local and state laws. And yes I am for real.

Wow...years ago I picked up a load at a shipper in NW Ohio, can't remember the name now, It was a container load that was going over seas and it was a load of pressed board furniture. Something happened in the manufacturing process and some pieces didn't come out right. I ended up staying there 28 hours before they sealed my doors and I went off to Chicago with the load. I actually made more on the detention time then the load payed me to haul. The place was nice and they had showers they let me use and a good Chow wagon came in several times so it wasn't too bad of a situation.

Either post the law or link to the federal law that says they can't tow your truck off of private property. And well your at it, post the link that shows the FM will come to a trucker's rescue when called and I want the link to the court case that shows the driver took a company to court that tried to make them leave the property and won. I'll give you a head start, GOOGLE.
