We always taped a box of mini fuses to the fire extinguishers when we got the trucks in from the lease company... the drivers rarely checked either... but they were there just in case.jammer910Z Thanks this.

Bout ran outta ink printing that one.Officer piece aka piece of #### with the ky highway patrol burned me like that in 2000.My lawyer made him look like a buffoon in court.

Company I worked for had a heavy duty zip close plastic sleeve at the back of all of the permit boos that contained spare fuses. Dot always noticed them during inspections too.
-
That would be good if drivers actually knew where their permit books where... More that once I had drivers received tickets/warnings for not showing the permit books.... when they were in the ^@#$% trucks all the time.

I carry a little box of assorted fuses and the older trucks didn't even use them they use circuit breakers. I give em to the guys blowing them in the new trucks. Lol.

I’m betting it was the trailer brake issue that set that whole thing into play because you are not supposed to even be able to plate a trailer that requires brakes in Texas without an inspection and if it can carry 5,000lbs or more it needs brakes to do that.

Even my little 16’ 5000gvw bumper pull needs brakes on one axle to be legal when I do this.
Brettj3876 and Shawn2130 Thank this. -
