So I had a heart attack at the end of February of 2013 no big deal because it didn't kill me. I just had my physical for my drivers license and a major stress test (man! I hate those!) I check out very good. My doctor cleared me for any kind of work I choose. But ok...I'm 65 and would like to stay closer to home and my Lady. Does anyone know of a decent company who might be looking for Canada only drivers in the Calgary area? TransX decided I am unsuitable even though I did a good job for them until the heart attack.
Please don't say I should retire....To me retirement is nothing short of a death sentence.

You're not doing it right. I've retired 6 times now and am good at it. You just need to practice a bit.

LOL The way I see it...All play, with no work to balance it, becomes a tedious full time job with no pay. I retired at 57 and was bored within a month. So I learned to drive truck. Drove for a while and got bored so I retired. That lasted four years, but I got so fiddle footed I had to go back on the road. LOL Now I'm looking for a driving job but wondering if maybe I'm pointed in the wrong direction. Maybe I should work my hobby full time and go panning for gold. Hard work and lots of fun. And home at night with a soft warm Grandma, which is not bad when you're a grandpa.

    Logan76 Thanks this.

Huh! Today I went out and it looks like I landed a job as a driving instructor. Commercial. Not bad. :yes2557:

I just spent 4 days at the bottom of a canyon on the Bridge River highbanking with 3 good pals. If I could retire and pursue my hobby I wouldn't hesitate. Don't know what you're waiting for.:wav:
