That makes sense, all “6’s” are landfall compactors.

SAR, Feedman, Oxbow and 2 others Thank this.

Strangely the 836 didn’t have all the plates and stuff - I picked it up at the proving grounds in AZ took it right to the landfill in Cali - where it will never leave until it is worn out scrap metal. I saw the one it was replacing and it was in bad shape for sure.

SAR, Feedman, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.

Plates might be optional, the “5’s” 815, 825, etc are soil compactors, the “6’s” 816, 826, etc are landfill compactors.

SAR, Feedman, Oxbow and 3 others Thank this.

we bid an 816 out the factory today and trust me when I say it had the “pain in ###” rate adjustment applied.

The broker that under bid ya will learn shortly how many people hate hauling compactors...even little ones .

SAR, Feedman, Oxbow and 3 others Thank this.

They’re hard on decks too, you need plywood.

SAR, Feedman, Oxbow and 2 others Thank this.

Yeah, Martin was scheduled to run 2 layers of 3/4” screwed down to protect his deck. The broker we bid it with actually reimburses for the plywood. Unfortunately no one reimburses for the block I destroyed doing the larger ones.

SAR, Feedman, Oxbow and 2 others Thank this.

I used to move so many G#####N trash compactors I got a worn out set of Challenger 65 rubber tracks, cut them and laid them out on the deck with my yard crane. They laid out over the front of the deck about 2 feet and over the first set of tires on the trailer. But they sure saved the deck. And I had a 4 hr minimum moving trash models.

SAR, Feedman, REO6205 and 4 others Thank this.

The new from the factory ones are stupid tall even on my beam - bringing them from IL on a deck with the drums on would be 17 tall

I am just to dumb to say no!

SAR, Feedman, cke and 1 other person Thank this.
