I had one I seemed to move on a regular basis from the landfill in Lompoc, CA. I personally took the A/C unit off the top of the cab (4 bolts) just to get to around 15-3.
I winched on a dead 826 that had caught fire, with the 72 in my avatar. The dealer came out and pulled the axles so it would roll. What a nightmare.

SAR, Feedman, stwik and 3 others Thank this.

This why you are my hero - and my skills will never come close. I have no winch or desire ... the 836 was over 120k with the drums on and on my beam would have been 14-8 or maybe 14-10 if I could have gotten it blocked up high enough. With a new 988 (without the supercounter weight) I have to load it with the rear over the transition. This makes me around 14 8 or so.

Saying that - the Stepdeck loaf I have on now is a dream to load - inside a building and loaded with overhead cranes! No blocks of ignorance

SAR, Feedman, stwik and 4 others Thank this.

Which seems like maybe one jeep would have sufficed. Must have been permit constraints?

SAR, Feedman, cke and 4 others Thank this.

Pressure that is a premay truck up in Alberta - and depends on the time of year - could be road ban time. They get stupid big weight on those groups up there.

Feedman, cke, stwik and 2 others Thank this.

They have been moving 57s on triple 16 booster types in CA for quite a while. From what I used to hear, they were so close on the weights, that on a steerable, they couldn't make weight. Not sure how heavy the newer ones are but I think the D&Es were 85-87 tons. Put you right close to 249,725 gross with a tractor with a 23K steer. I am no authority as I have never hauled one. I think a pusher would be in order...…...
