Looking at D-16 Volvo engine

Really D12F is up to 485 HP. But generally D12D are 420 and 460/465 HP.

There were really weak versions of D12 (320, 340 and 380 HP), but they were discontinued in 2002 when Volvo introduced D9. Now D9B is up to 400 hp.

And now Volvo offer D11 as 360-420 HP engine

The weakest D13 is 400 hp now.

 

not sure in this strongest d11c 450 have 460hp

and weakest d13 is d13c 380 which have 388hp

 

Everybody likes what they like,and it all works till it don't....we bought an 08 880,D16,13spd,,535k miles,,,,for heavy haul,,,put 150k on it injectors 5+6 failed,replaced the set(6),,tech damaged 6 installing,,I love the truck,but hard to own.The dealerships are a roll of the dice,from a few good ones,to the unqualified R+R crowd to the criminal.... with that said,bought a2010 D13/I shift for my girlfriend,had 435k on it,,so far 50k problem free miles,,had a body comm.error(radio plug upside down), dealer in auburndale FL. Gave us an estimate for 11grand saying they found coolant in exhaust,needed complete def system and egr ....took the truck out of there as is,put 25k+ on it,,no coolant loss,,no problems,no codes,,,?,,,,
