I also did not have to take the test. From what I'm hearing now... The qualifications have changed some for the test. What those are I do not know, but If I come across some info I will pass it along.

Confusing for me if they make you wear uniforms a clothing that’s only good for performing that duty then they should pay for them or have some astronomical pay and benefits program that’s so great you forget all about buying uniforms

They do pay for them. Averitt gives 150.00 a year for uniforms. Going thru the Cintas store they are not expensive and if you budget and take care of your uniforms throughout the year, they can last you. Now I have spent money on things that I needed as times arose, don't get me wrong. But it's not like you will come out of pocket for every item you wear.

I start with Averitt the Monday after thanksgiving. It will be my second stint with them. Left them because of illness in my family.
I was happy with them the first go round. They have great equipment and awesome maintenance shops. I had an awesome fleet manager who was always honest with me. I ran regional out of the Lexington KY service center and was impressed with the crew at LEX

I did go with Averitt and will be going to their Knoxville terminal today to pickup my assigned tractors. I will be working out of the Asheville Service Center

Congrats... Hope it works out for you and they meet your needs. Gonna be in KNX myself tomorrow and picking up my truck. Mine came back from the dealer having work done. Have a good weekend and a happy holiday.
