I really don't know about team. I know they make more. I'm also very good at being a loner. No problem at all with the solitude. I'll have to see. Got time.

Might be what you interviewed for but I saw an advertisement that City of Sturgis is hiring snow plow drivers.

That's one problem many have. They hire snow plow drivers. That's all they want? One I interviewed for is more than just snow plow.

    Update and advise requested here....
I got me six job offers right now....Or lets say...offers to come in...
    Best one is Prime...
I'm also considering a DG account with Schneider. Doesn't have to be that one with Schneider. This involves me having to overcome fibromyalgia in the next three months. How I've been doing makes me think I just might be able to. The DG I'm considering specifically for the exercise.... the health. I know I would be better off in that aspect. I saw the Schneider truck at my local DG. The DG people say lack of drivers are a big problem.
&&& There is one aspect of this that I seek opinions on. &&&
The dealing with people. Geesh... That's one reason I drive a truck. Get away from the idiots causing nothing but problems. They can't figure their way out of a wet paper sack. I'm sick of it. The assault, threats, etc. just to beat my head against the wall so they don't have to do anything. They're in a downward spiral into their own hell. I'm contemplating just how much of this I'm gonna have to put up with on a DG account. To be honest.... so far in my life...they'll have to leave me behind on their trip to hell.
I don't worry about just being positive. I worry about being constructive.

This kind of advise is one thing I have kept in mind. I can't say I know. I'm depending on others experience. Even though I think alot of Prime. I am in the process of being hired on with a smaller, 400 truck operation. It's hauling food grade flour, in a pneumatic tanker. There are caution flags with this one. But am going ahead. Hoping for the best.

Regarding constructs that people build in the workplace against themselves which Hell is created... I prefer to be in a truck or solo or with a teammate away from the rest of the idiots myself. If I can think, I can work. Not that there is much thinking going on sometimes *Bangs head...

Ummm... I admire your tenacity at finding a job even before you have put 100 miles on 18 wheels, takes confidence and I like that. Watch that diabetes thing though, there is no cure just control and remission. Diabetes has taken a lot of really good drivers off the road, some are friends of mine. If you are ever prescribed insulin it's over, Metformin is acceptable, just make sure you drink that 1/2 gallon of water before any DOT physical to get the sugar mostly out of your urine. If they find some it will be a 1 year card at best. On ice and snow be aware that a combination vehicle can lull you into a false sense of security, 80,000lbs can make you feel like it's gonna stick easy and the first most common mistake that is made by people new to it is speeding up.. Don't fall for it until you know what happens if it starts floating or a slow spin, learn how to use that trailer trolly brake with some finesse while easing some throttle on. Be careful engine braking downhill...You will learn all this. I wish you the best of luck whatever you do...

Gee.... My latest clinic restricts me to one year anyways. Doctor acts condescending, as if he doubts I was ever diagnosed with diabetes. But says that Diabetes must be monitored. Thus the one year. I gave him my last two A1C's... 6.9 and 7.0. Treatment; Lifestyle. I should better that. Quit smoking. Will do a bunch to lower that number. I need to quit smoking anyways. I know I won't pay enough attention to what I'm doing, when driving for 11 hours if I smoke. So it's gotta go.
I'm gonna ask at this first job. They are going to give me a trainer. Ask him about how to use that trailer brake. It makes sense to me. I want to learn all I can on ice. I know from class B, about ice. But that ain't no tractor trailer. No way.

That trailer brake is a small handle on your steering column to the right. There should be a air application gauge near it on the dash. 5 pounds is usually enough reduction to get the trailer stretched out just so, you do not even have to move the handle more than a inch at most. Remember that also has a horrible lag I suppose between the time you apply and the time your brakes take effect back there. If you come off it, do it a few heartbeats before you have to.

Get a can of silver paint, spray a stripe on each of the outside wheels from rim to tread. That way when they are rotating you will see it in the mirror. If they are not, you will know that too. Rotating wheels = life but it is not a sure thing.

Have a spot mirror aimed at your 5thwheel plate over your drives. So that if she does get even a degree out of line you will already be making corrections before she reaches a point of no return.

It's really hard to sit here and write this. I should take you and your whole rig and go find a strip of ice road to run on. We will either scare it out of you, beat it out of you or have you turn out to be a natural. A friend of mine was once. He took me and my old ford for a 10 mile top speed run on ice one night. Turned out his ability was much better than mine... should have been a race car driver or something. (At least those mich tires did great that night, like they were supposed to...)

Wait! You drink all that water with those hard to find, and tougher to store chemicals, eat all that natural food that you have to take time to get, store and prepare- but you smoke?!?

Anyone else see the irony here?!? Good luck in quitting. It’s very important.

It just struck me as odd after reading all your preaching about health to hear you smoke. Like I say, I hope you give that up soon. I’m sure it’s tough but you’ll do it.
