Hey drivers! Posted a while back about will run food in Maine paper and food out of Binghamton New York, however now I've been looking into US Express as I see they're hiring like crazy out of the Binghamton in Oneonta New York areas I'm assuming for Northeast Regional work. I was wondering if I could get any input on the company in terms of the regional work and I also saw that they had some dedicated runs out of the Northeast is well in New York and Pennsylvania New Jersey. just wondering what the home time is like if you guys are doing in Northeast run and how long you're out at a time? I spoke with a US Express driver yesterday and I saw him at our local um food store, and he seem to like the company however he was only there for a little over a month. just looking for some input and really appreciate a response is you guys have out there. thank you!

I'm on the regional account, been with them for some time now. Mileage is good and pay is about same as many other companies. I do like the equipment I just switched from the automatic back to a manual Trans. I'm usually home Friday sometime and head out Monday morning. Only complaint I have is the idle restriction. They are pretty strict about idling and I am just talking about during my ten or eight hour break. I'm dispatched out of the shippensburg terminal.
I have come across my share of break downs but who isn't when you run equipment all time. It's forced dispatch and they give you the route you have to take and were you'll be fueling. I have never turned down a load and sometimes I've even been given a straight 500 mile run which is sometimes hard to get when your in the Northeast regional. You do get the miles it's just a lot of short trip miles. I've done a few 1000 mile runs.
This is just my experience with them of course not everyone has same experience. My advice don't go in with too high of expectations.Big_D409 Thanks this. -
yeah, I'm keeping expectations at a minimum. I know I have to start out at some spot on the totem pole lol. I appreciate the good info. I just want to stay in the northeast as I have been running with my Dad throughout the northeast and enjoy it. The short runs won't bother me any, long as I'm trucking that's all I truly care about. How long did it take for you to be solo with them? My guess is a few weeks?
