Over $100,000 a year net profit to pocket as a lease purchase driver. Over $145,000 a year net profit to pocket as an owner operator.

I am looking at that. I was on with norag. Good grain loads but kept routing me away from home on weekend.
Trying something else tomorrow. Lease on to company with pnuematic. Depends on if can find a oil pump to run blower. My truck has split exhaust. Can't hook up a PTO.
But they also have flat bed and other stuff I could do. Might just try that flat bed. Never done it. They pay 85% and have a very nice shop. 85 an hour to wot'rk on my paccar as opposed to 140 Pete charges meMTN Boomer Thanks this. -
Obviously I was looking for authority to run under. Not a job. There is a big difference

I lost some context along the line. Not sure what you mean by define " a lot "
But, lease on might pay well in some cases. But if you buy a truck to be on your own, leasing on loses the on your own part.
I'm not opposed to it, in fact going to do it as I found the company and type of load I like.
But. Yep, O/O in general don't make any more than a company driver. Once you take out all the expenses fr owning a truck. It's more the feeling of owning the truck you worked so hard to have. -
What is your exhaust like that you don’t have room for a PTO to run a blower? When I pulled pneumatic guys had everything from stock exhaust to weed burners to straight pipes with the Pickett elbows and we all had a PTO. And most of us had room to mount the blower behind the driver side fuel tank under the bunk so you couldn’t see it.
And for what it’s worth I enjoyed pneumatic more than hopper work. The food grade stuff was so clean, nice clean places to unload, the truck stayed clean for the most part. It was nice.
