Those companies want OTR experience for those high rates. then there is a bunch f loop hole for them to not pay them too.

I'v got nearly 15 years, owned 10 trucks the first 4 years running the coast. then some regional and the last 6 years a mix of local and otr but more local since my son was born.

Heartland up front offered me $.50 then started backpedaling untill they were like $.40 and I snaped on the woman

 

Buddy of mine has his own authority and he showed me invoices for 1 months work doing auto shows totaling 30k, he say's he gets around 2.75 to 3.25 per mile and loves doing the concert tours. He also has a salesman that he employes to secure contracts with agents. Normally he just transports pre loaded trailers from one city to the next. Don't know to much about the companies in entertainment but the experianced truck owners in this field do fairly well from what I've seen. good luck on your search.
