Thanks for the replies. I did get some calls from job agencies but im looking for more of a long term gig. Indeed is mostly just full of owner operator job postings. Oshawa is kinda far from my house for MB (67KM) but wouldn't hurt to just send an application anyway.
MB has had job posting for drivers out of Oshawa for atleast the last year . It’s not a job for me , but if you can handle it definitely apply and see what happens. right with them really needed drivers could be you best shot if getting in
Most of MB deliveries are on pallets now and you use an electric pallet jack Just like Tim Hortons . It’s not like Gordon or sysco where you’re using a dolly and ramp . The problem i’ve read with MB is 24/7 schedule and for a while not knowing when you will work . i’ve read countless threads online of it being tough when starting out . Still if you’re young and can hack it for a few years i think you will do well . I can’t handle shifts that start all over the place and need a set schedule
Anyone know a way I can get an experience letter from my current carriers insurance company? I want to cover all the bases I can while im still here. I have all my pay stuff from the last 4 years or so but I know for a fact that another carrier wants to see an experience letter.
they will definitely be questioning him on why he wants a insurance letter and when he says i’m looking for a job will either fire him or treat him worse then he already is . I understand why companies are starting to ask for it because it’s proof you actually have the experience you say you do . it stops drivers from being able scam their way into a job by using friends or family as old employers
That's what im concerned about really, the insurance company is echelon insurance. Not sure how good/bad they are or if it matters. Any way to cover my bases?
See it all the time. Train drivers for lcv, then they can’t get hired because when the background check comes back, the experience can’t be verified. Pay stubs should be enough proof for them, t4 if your a company driver should be enough. I’d wait until you got another job locked up, and explain to them that this request, will probably result in termination at my current employer, but you can provide four years of paystubs etc. the market sucks, be good not to jeopardize your current job.
