Just to make sure the English is straight. You are asking about company sponsored training, but it also sounds like you just got your regular license. If you are asking about a minimum period that you have held a regular license before you can be accepted into the company's school, I think that several may require some driving experience of any kind.
If you are asking about a contract obligation for receiving training, several national OTR companies have company sponsored schools, have a 1 year committment to end up owing nothing for training. Many give partial credit as you go for shorter periods, some give nothing until 6 months and at least one takes longer than a year to be free. They all have different amounts you "owe" to start ranging from 2,000 to 6,000+. One actually lets you skate owing nothing if you decide within the first 7 days of the on-the-road training phase (which usually follows the CDL class) that trucking isn't for you. Dig through the web sites for the info. There are some mostly accurate summaries of company sponsored programs on a different web site, truckingtruth.com (apologies TTR).
good luck

The shortest I've heard of is CRST which I believe is 8 months but you will have to verify that. I doubt you will find anything shorter.

Thank you all for the response. I contacted some companies, they all require at least one year of holding a regular driver's license. Do you guys know about california cdl training schools? Do they have same requirement? If not, I may apply for driving school and see how that goes.
