So let me start by saying I'm in school in Norfolk, VA and nearing my dmv exam. I am looking for a company that has a decent truck that I can work with. I am 4'11" and we are driving Kenworth's. I am having some difficulty with seeing over the steering wheel but I'm not going to let that stop me. I have heard from Averitt, Werner, US Express, and I hope to hear back from Schneider.
What I am looking for is a company with close to zero touch (but for the right pay I can do dedicated) , home every weekend or every other, good enough pay, and would like to do tankers.
Anyone have any insight on which company has a truck for the vertically challenged?

There is a high probability you may have to ease up on your wish list for a year or so. Every limit you have personally knocks lots lots of companies out of the running, and you want choices just starting out.

Bottomley Enterprises - www.bottomleyenterprises.com - runs teams to California every week and you're home 2 days a week. Living in Norfolk, you're 25 miles outside the hiring area, but maybe they'll cut some slack.

It's not so much seeing over the steering wheel, it's more so reaching the clutch and pedals. I was told I can get lift's to compensate, but who really wants to do that long distance?

I was considering dock or containers, but can't really find anyone who hires without experience.
