Never been with Epes, but thought about applying at one time. Never heard a bad word about them. Only thing was, at least for me, there seemed to be too much NE running...that, and I-95. But that's a personal beef.

Run up there a fair bit. But the. 07cpm bonus helps (on loaded miles into ne) . Check them out, may or may not be a fit for you. No company is right fit for everybody! Good luck! And pm me if I can help!

All companies are exactly what you make of them. In this industry like every other industry out there, most people start at the bottom of the ladder. Low pay, long hours, sacrifice. Get your foot in the door and ask around at truck stops. When you have six months in, get someone to give you a reference. That way, they get paid to tell you the company you should go to work for.

If you do your homework you will find all companies that hire folks with little or no experience pay the lowest wages. Expect that. You are a private not a General.

Question for you....I'm reading about sitting waiting for loads all weekend because paperwork not there or done improperly etc. While you wait you make no money. Is this a common occurance?

Not for me hehehe since I'm home almost every weekend. Other companies I can't speak for but the few weekends I have run ( 4 in 16 months, 3 by choice and not forced ) I was either preplanned for the weekend or preplanned for the next load at or before the time I dropped the one I was on. Longest I've ever waited for a load was 4hrs. Average wait time for the next load for me is 30 minutes. Preplanned 70% of the time. Heard some horror stories about other companies though and my disclaimer is my experience is not typical. But I chose a good company to start with lol.

Unsure where he got we wait days for paperwork? Not with us! Anyone who think all companies are the same are cheating them selves!

Don't think he meant us specifically but just a general question. I've read many comments on threads from other companies where it seems like weekend dispatch is non existent
