Here is a list of trucking companies that i have been associated with ...... " just for informational purposes and my personal opinions of these companies are my own opinion and some others that may read this post may or may not agree with me." east west out of swannanoa n.c. Was a real good company to work for they go cross country and if you are an team and dont need to go home much or do not have an home 20 they would be great for you.they also hire singles and o/o.reefer and dry freight.
R&m enterprises out of gretna ne. Is a real good company they run all 48 but mainly to the west coast reefer and dry freight. Singles and teams AND O/O. They arent really geared for teams though .
Sammons trucking dont bother.
Florilli dont bother.
Jacobson trans. Dont bother.
Westar transport dont bother.
J&r schugel dont bother.
Howard transport out of meridian miss. They were decent they stay primarily east of the mississippi river . Once a week they have or had one or two trucks that ran west but they were usually o/o drivers. They run skateboards and if you do not have skateboard experience and want to learn they will teach you. Which is what i did instead of going to one of the big companies. They hire singles and o/o.
Dot foods i would not play there games when it came to paper work and their lies . But if you like to unload and be bothered to unload others freight when you are trying to get home or to the next p.u. It may be for you . They hire singles not sure about o/o.
Other companies that i will not mention are either local positions or are out of buisness altogether . If i forgot an company i will edit this post to give my trucker friends an accurate description to what they do there home base and my general opinion on them. I think that i did cover them all. Be cool on the stool and keep the shiny side up. Cactus jack -
Cactus Jack, just thought of "FTC" out of Okie City (Feed the Children) They run a lot of food banks etc with the donated food stuff. I'm pretty sure they're busy, have nice equipment, not sure about home time. It would seem to me that their routine isn't so hurry, hurry, hurry.
cactusjack Thanks this. -

A bit off the subject.... I was driving my wife around on monday . We were paying bills and going to the bread store. She started complaining about belly aches and head aches . I said ok lets go over to the e.r. Just to be safe . Well after urinallysis and blood work the doctor rushed her upstairs to the labor and delivery room . We found out she was 34 weeks along in pregnancy . Wow what a shock . So i am gonna have a little girl . Due date estimated to be october 5th so i gotta do some quick planning . Just thought i would share this with my truck driving friends . I guess i am still in shock . Well keep yourselves cool on the stool . Cactus jack said that .
