I am close to finishing CDL school now for my class A. The school has recruiters come in and talk to us. So far I have been visited by recruiters from Benny-Whitehead, Epes, Swift, Schneider, Werner and Wiley Sanders. Besides the ones listed above are there any other companies I should look into?
Looking for a good starter company

Where are you located and what do you wanna do?
Flatbed, dry van, reefer, tanks?
Will you have all your endorsements?
@Chinatown could give you some good ideastscottme Thanks this. -
Contact trucking companies in your town if you want to get home more than once a month. I've never worked anywhere that required me to stay out more than 1 week. That makes a huge difference in quality of life. Apply at compaies evennif their ads say experience required. "Make them tell you no".highwayMike and snowlauncher Thank this.

Here is some more information. My location is South Georgia and I have had a class B for years and have a tank endorsement with it. Eventually I would like to get into tanker or dry bulk container, but not to start out.

If you start with tanker what you learn with driving makes you a safer driver no matter what other type of driving you do. The customers treat you better in tankers than dry van reefer. I drove dry vans for 20 something years & tanker the last 18 months. I was afraid of "the surge". It is easy to learn to tame it. Tanker usually pay more than van. Fewer tanker companies hire newbies, but some do. Don't write it off.Smut Thanks this.

The words good and starter companies don't seem to go together in the same sentence. Am I the only one who think that?

If you don't mind tankers to start see if you can get on with Superior Carriers. They take a few trucking school grads if the school is on the list. .56 loaded .45 empty plus $20 an hour. Hard to beat starting out
tscottme Thanks this.
