Looking for a good starter company

Where are you located and what do you wanna do?
Flatbed, dry van, reefer, tanks?

Contact trucking companies in your town if you want to get home more than once a month. I've never worked anywhere that required me to stay out more than 1 week. That makes a huge difference in quality of life. Apply at compaies evennif their ads say experience required. "Make them tell you no".

 

If you start with tanker what you learn with driving makes you a safer driver no matter what other type of driving you do. The customers treat you better in tankers than dry van reefer. I drove dry vans for 20 something years & tanker the last 18 months. I was afraid of "the surge". It is easy to learn to tame it. Tanker usually pay more than van. Fewer tanker companies hire newbies, but some do. Don't write it off.

 

The words good and starter companies don't seem to go together in the same sentence. Am I the only one who think that?
