hope they do overnight shipping. cuz my turbo should be done in 3 days.

waiting for the shop to pull the muffler off so i can get measurements. our yard is 90 miles north which is where the truck is. the turbo is at a shop 3 miles from the house. waiting for the rebuild kit.

turns out someone developed a kit and started selling 2 months ago.

FYI for anyone with a holset turbo on a isx 450.

i see you all listing part numbers. but no body mentioning what part number for a w900. and if special mods were needed to make it fit. if i had that i could order the thing right now rather then waiting for measurements.

    would be greatly appreciated. :biggrin_25519:

    got an email from shuttleworth.

$300. add shipping and i might as well buy from kenworth for the same price.

    walker doesn't have my application.

    waiting to hear from donaldson.

this muffler is under cab inlet and outlet on same side with bracket on rear side.

    for those that don't know.

I doubt you'll be finding any real sweet deals on that type of muffler.

I have used (and will continue to use) the Walker MegaFlow NoiseBrakers; can't say about performance/mileage benefits, but they are quiet both running and e-braking. Can't remember what I paid, but I didn't think it was too much, seem to be good quality. Not sure about underslung exhaust app, I run stacks.

turns out that if you have a muffler setup like the w9. your kinda screwed. cuz everything seems to be geared for a pipe on eash side. instead of both on one side.

everyone likes the w9 but i'm starting to dislike mine. lousy isx engine. lousy turbo. lousy exhaust setup. not only is the truck made of junk. but it can't be modified without extra work and money.

ryderfleet has been emailing back and forth about my configuration. still waiting to see what they got if anything.

i like the pittsburgh power setup but not for the money they want.

looking more and more like a quiet kenworth muffler.

the turbo has already spent more then origianlly estimated. this thing is gonna be brand spanking new minus the housings. we're up to half the cost of new from kenworth or cummins.

well, after getting a going rate of $350. kenworth, shuttleworth, walker, and nothing from donaldson. tonight i called kenworth and got quoted $210. so i went and picked it up. and it's a shuttleworth. sure hope it works out.

and here's what pisses me off. the going rate for my holset turbo was $3200. so i parked the truck and waited for a week for the shop to get parts to completely rebuild mine to the tune of $1500.

tonight kenworth quotes me $900 for a turbo. i coulda went back to work last week.

can't wait to hit the road now to see how it works out. sure hope my gas mileage gets back to before if not better.
