The thing to realise is that being an owner operator requires more then just owning a truck... so, it would be wise for anyone wanting to become an owner/operator to gain the experience and knowledge by being a company driver for awhile.. that way you can learn to drive safely and efficiently without the burden of bearing the cost of that learning.
The next thing to consider is that becoming an O/O is starting your own business, wnich requires a well developed and thought out bussiness plan...
I dont mean to be rude here.. but your question to me is like someone wanting to take up golf and trying to figure out how much they can make on the PGA tour.. just because yoh can afford to buy clubs, top of the line clubs at that, doesnt mean your ready to join the tour...
Same with trucking... right now you have a long way to go and a lot to learn.. and I truly am not being rude there....

Yes that's possible. Im out 2 night and home on day 3 and make $2000 to the truck after deductions with my agent. I don't go back out until the next week

If you own your house, can afford to buy a truck, only need to net 500 a week, working 4 days, then you should save your money do not buy a truck and get a local job working for a LTL or a distributor like Budwiser as a part time fill in. good luck and have a good day.
