This one is a truck purchase program. I'm not recommending it, just letting you know it's there and hires SAP grads. Super Ego Holding superegoholding.com 621 Il Route 83 Ste 240, Bensenville, IL 60106
Chicagoland is a pretty good spot to rehab your career actually. They are a bit loose when it comes to hiring drivers, as they're more concerned with your driving record. Try any of these companies: GP Transco, HMD, Triton Logistics, National Express Carriers. Those are all W-2 companies in that area. Also try Maybach as well....I'm not for sure if they are all lease purchase or if they hire company drivers but talk to them anyway.
Mom and Pop companies are usually more willing to listen to personal situations. Larger carriers get so many applications, they just usually choose to not deal with it, especially in the current freight market. Good luck. Most important thing is to get driving wherever you can and keep the experience rolling. 6 months to a year of safe driving immediately following an incident like that looks better than 6 years and no driving.
I've contacted all of the companies that have been listed here and NONE of them hire on step 5, the RTD drug screen. All of them want several months, some years, beyond. They all say that I need to have been with another company before they'll hire. Anyone have any other suggestions or options?
Try a 1099 company. That was the route I had to take. It took me 6 years of that route. This was before the clearinghouse came into effect. It isn't the best option, but you'll get a check and keep your experience up. If you can tough that out, you'll get back on track.
Lots of 1099 companies on Craigslist and Facebook. Both websites have trucker pages and trucking group pages.
@bryan21384 Congratulations on seeing it through! God bless you & your entire family! God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.! The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead. Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.
