    Hello Folks,

Im from the Lonestar state and I'm As new as they come to Trucking. I'm a salesman. Rather than advertising myself or the company I work for, I'd prefer to ask for your help.

Since I've never worked in this industry before, and you O/O's are our life's breath... I wanted to know what you guys look for. I know that specific things can vary based on the individual driver. I just want to know what's important to you. The average American car driver has different wants and needs from someone that spends the majority of their time on the road.

It's important to me to do the best job I can and I'm not afraid to admit I know very little about rigs. I'm learning as the days go by, and I'd like to think I'm getting it down, but I of course would much prefer to refer to the professionals.

What advice can you offer me ?

You need to just use the search feature and do some reading. There's probably a dozen threads titled "What truck should I buy?" or the like in the past week and many answers. A search will probably give you pages of hits.

I think the obvious areas would be condition/repairs needed and matching specs to intended use.
