There are a lot of us out there and I can't believe there would be any question about giving up the career after 3 accidents in 6 months. I can't even imagine any question about giving it up after 3 accidents in a year. The next accident may not be just a dent and you could kill or injure somebody seriously.

You owe it to Werner to stay with them, if they don't fire you, to contribute towards them recovering what it has cost them for your accidents. Insurance carry hefty deductibles and unless Werner is self-insured they have had to pay out a those hefty deductible and if they are insured, they have had to pay higher premiums because of the damages paid to the trucks/trailers you hit. If you owned that truck and/or trailer then you would know how much that actually cost. There is no such thing as cheap repairs on trucks/trailers.

Just follow your heart on this but if happen to see us on the road or in a parking lot, slow down, make a wide swing turn and go the other way....

Also, word of warning on laying off for 3 years - if you do that then you have to start all over - take the CDL test, etc., etc....... but if it saves a life it is a small price to pay. Maybe you need to think more, or at least as much, about the other guy as you are thinking about yourself. Time off work to get it fixed, time to fight with Werner, if they are self insured or the insurance company. The damaged driver doesn't just have physical damage but also has work loss due to the hassles of having to get their truck/trailer repaired.

Pity parties take on a whole new look when dealing with a fatality instead of dents that from your postings you seem to think are just minor problems and an inconvenience for you.

everyone makes mistakes just some more than others. I thought that was a good suggestion about using the cones and of course slowing down and paying more attention to your surroundings(not saying your not already) and if its something you really want to do you just have to learn your tuck better
