    Is there a 800 number for workforce investment act? The local career center lady is being a jerk about talking to someone n I only need 1 year otr to joun hartt transport there 10 miles from my house told me to get that n give them a call after

    Pre-hire letters should not be used to get grants or loans, they are not a letter of intent and are nothing more than saying you qualify to be hired at that company but no guarantees that you will be actually offered a job after you complete your training.

    Hmmm...If you weren't employed right now this would probably be a lot easier. I am going to use WIA to partially fund my schooling, but I will be laid off from my job when I do it, so all they required of me was a layoff notice.

    I can't believe the unemployment folks are making this so difficult. Hell, it's their job to get you working, not make it difficult for you to work. From what I understand, some states were approving anyone that wanted WIA funds for re-training. Even if you didn't qualify for some reason, they would just fudge the rules to get you the help. Apparently Maine isn't one of those states.

    no Maine is extremly hard to get any type of help unless ur a Women with a child and want Tanf, so i guess my route to go is go to the DMV Grab my CDL Permit n head to Prime Inc, BUT i kno your with a Instructor for 10k miles 2-4 weeks and then with a Trainer for 30k Miles afer all that Training do i get to run solo? or do they stick me in a truck n Team Drive? Do i get time to go home inbetween the Instructor and Trainer?
