I don't want to run 2$ a mile loads. But, it's what's on the spot market.
Most companies won't hire me because of what some company put on my dac report. Otherwise I'd probably go work for someone reputable.
I did work for a legit company last year. Problem is I was making just about what wendys managers make except sleeping in the truck. 700-800$ a week after taxes.
I've already been to every state, have years of experience, now just looking for a dedicated account with a triangle or specific lanes that go south east to midwest to west then back east.
I'd like to buy my own truck, I'm just not there yet. Until then, I'll look for another company.
I'm staying here another week or two to make a few dollars, then I'll go home.
Looking for company suggestions

I was with rowland , which is a legit company runs 75 publix dedicated freight. Decent company, times got tough they laid people off. Also probably didn't help I kept asking for work. I was told 1k+ a week. I only made 800 there.. was disappointing going home with so little.Siinman Thanks this. -
I have only been in this industry for 17 years, so not even close to some other guys and girls on here. About 10 years ago I shifted my way of thinking (punny I know), but my goal now is to run the absolute bare minimum miles and make the absolute maximum profit. 4800 miles a week? I mean geez, there are many times I don't even run that in a month. And yes, I love trucking, and it's not just a "job" to me, man I live for it. But I've found that balance of it being more like a paid hobby for me, and it's made me love it even more. Besides why burn all that fuel, tires, and brakes just to deliver next years freight at this years rate?

Saw some videos on blue ribbon logistics. I'd run a older truck if I could make a decent coin. If manual is paying more, I'll drive a manual. -
I'm paging for all the expenses.. sure.
I've come to terms that this isn't worth it at the current market. My friends were gloating about making 4-6k a week after expenses. Which, I do believe during covid they did earn that amount. Right now?
Not possible. It is but a dream.Pittstruck Thanks this. -
