Huff and Puff is a good one. If all else fails, try Western Express flatbed. You'll learn how to secure every type of load there. I do agree I'd specialized heavy haul is what you want then you definitely shouldn't hesitate to call RE West. I wonder if it's true that they won't hire you if you can't go into Canada.

You can try J&D Heavy Equipment Haulers out of Lebanon. Almost all their trucks are rgn up to 13 axles. They also run some Landolls and steps local, so I’d suspect that’s where you’d start and move up.

MSA Delivery has a yard in Murfreesboro too. They do mostly conestoga but the do have some oversize conestoga. From the people that work there they are a great place to work.

With 3 months under your belt, few tanker companies will touch you, and being that you can’t get your hazmat, that narrows the list further.
    Foodliner might be an option
ADM i don’t recall their hiring requirements
    Heniff is close
The rest i know you need 2 year seat time before they’ll look at you, plus hazmat.
Turn 23, get your hazmat and twic, then look at tankers.
Things are thin right now, and companies that are hiring are very selective on who they hire.
Good tanker companies don’t need to advertise, word of mouth gets them all the candidates they need.
Tanker drivers especially are a tight bunch…
We’re the freaks that pull the stuff nobody else will touch, loads that pull as sloppy as sorority girls in Vegas, and stuff more dangerous than a raging chihuahua on acid.
The experience level is because tankers is a thinking man’s game.
It’s very easy to tip over if you misjudge a turn.
    Get experience.
    Learn patience, vision, and forethought.
Then come play in our sandbox.
