Looking for greener pastures.

Hey Finalsomnia, some companies don't actually put anything on your DAC until you quit them. So this happened while working for Millis and you are still working for Millis it might not even be on your DAC. Just that one incident you should be alright going almost anywhere.

 

Talk to some of the Abilene drivers on the road. I've met some that aren't happy there.

 

If they're not happy, then why are they still there? Doesn't make sense when there's thousands of trucking companies to choose from.

It wont be on his DAC report yet if he hasn't left the company yet.

Companies do not submit incidences to DAC as they happen. They submit anything they have at the time an employee leaves their company.

 

The ones I talked to were in the process of leaving but hadn't left yet.

Well, to be completely fair, Abilene is a trucking company, a trucking company that employs truckers, there are bound to be a few... LOL

And yes, I have met a few of them too... {sigh}

I guess it gives them something to talk about with other truckers while sitting around the Truck Stops...

BTW...

I just found out that some of the Truck Stops have "lounges" and some of the lounges even have "TV"... I so wish those that are complaining would have told me about this detail... I feel like I missed a memo or something.

Anyway, several of us are very content here... I thought it was just going to be my "starter company" here for 6-12 months and on to another company... But I think I will stick around for a bit longer... I might get to talk to a couple more of those unhappy campers, if I ever get to sit around on the yard again... LOL

Are you talking about the 2 docks that are right by each other? Those are the GOOD ones. Lol. They have a single dock out back by the train tracks. You used to have to back up the wrong way down a one way street - the WHOLE BLOCK!-then quick unhook and pull away before the train came (when the train still ran there).
