Been lurking the forum for awhile and saw this thread, so decided to join. My experience with Barr-Nunn; I applied over a year ago, but decided not to go through with it. I didn't sign any hire forms or anything of the sort. Told recruiter "Thanks, but no thanks". Few months later, was applying to another company and the recruiter mentions Barr-Nunn in past employment, to which confused me as I didn't work for them. I got a copy of my HireRight report and there it was under past employers, Barr-Nunn and it stated I went to orientation but quit. I contacted the recruiter and Barr-Nunn, to which they said I was not an employee of theirs ever and for me to dispute if with HireRight, which I have done twice and each time HireRight tells me basically Barr-Nunn says I worked for them, even though they're telling me I didn't and that nothing will change. So now I have a company listed on my DAC that I've never worked for and when I apply for trucking jobs, it's caused issues as I didn't realize it was frowned upon to not want to work for bad carriers and get low pay, therefore looking for other jobs and some companies frown upon having X amount of jobs in X amount of years. Barr-Nunn says they didn't put anything on my DAC but I'm calling BS on that part because it's companies that report to DAC.

Barr-Nunn, another company owed by Knight/Swift. That should tell you all you need to know.

Currently Barr-Nunn is the only company so far that I applied to that has contacted me. I also applied to Venezia Transport. Because I have seen their trucks up my was. Also Goulet. But that probably won't happen. Because it's been over 5 years since I touched a manual. I did give Oakley another application. But I'm probably still ineligible for rehire for unknown reason. Since they won't tell me why

There was a guy on YouTube a few months ago, he was there a few.months and quit due to lack of miles..also they spend the majority of their time in the NE. Probably why they pay 70cpm, for what's its worth....
