DM. How did you make out? Olhand, are you a local driver in the Lehigh Valley?

I moved here last summer to get off the road and go local with [against my better judgement] JB Hunt! I'm on the Bethlehem intermodal account. I have aspirations to become an owner operator but I'm in the same boat as DM. I want to stay local, and I don't want to lose my shirt. Having a tough time deciding if I should jump ship ASAP to try a smaller company, hourly, local position (just put in a short form app at Allen Distribution yesterday), or keep gaining intermodal experience while trying to scrape together startup money to get my own tractor and sign on with say ARL. To be honest I miss the road but I'm not sure if its really that or the megacarrier paperwork, BS, and pay scheme I've been dealing with since I got off the road. I certainly don't miss being a fat, gastrointestinally disturbed, smoking, sleep deprived, greasy, individual who wonders if he's gonna make it home this weekend! I do however miss being able to keep the door shut for more than 30 minutes!
