Sweet Revenge: A Business Lesson Learned

Pertinent information in regards to partnerships.
Everyone has to bring something to a relationship: in business, most people bring the bull ####.

A smart man told me “partners are for dancing”

Many lessons in this in this article, this link should be stickied to point to every time someone comes here talking about a partnership.

Besides the obvious, there are good lessons for everyone.

Always separate emotions from business and do not let them blind you when making decisions
Always keep your mind on the task
Find the help you need to protect yourself or to do what you’re looking to accomplish
Even if the boat sinks you can always build a better one the next time.

You're 100% right. I was going to handle the finances, pay bills, etc. As far as the business end, I'd be doing all of that. He would be responsible for finding loads / driving.

Did you watch the video JB7 suggested for you?
Timing is everything and this industry is in a serious downturn
Even if your brother was the best trucker ever, there would be problems

Despite being subscribed, I wasn't getting notifications that there we responses. I just happen to actually check for myself. Lots of great advice here and I'm super appreciative.

P.S. Don't be hating on weird al :)

I'm not looking to partner with him. I want to try to get him in a place he can support his family. I'm only trying to fund the startup costs, and let him "fly".
