This is not the way to do that.
If he can't make decisions as a company driver that allow him to support his family, he won't be able to do it as an OO/IC.

I really wanted to thank everyone who offered advice and their time responding to the post. You're taking time of your day to give advice and feedback to someone who doesn't know the industry and I have a very fond respect for the men and women that sacrifice so much of their life in a truck. This isn't a 9-5 job. It's a way of life and one that doesn't afford the luxuries of being home on nights and weekends like some do.
My brother is willing and able to make this sacrifice, but I tend to agree with you guys. I think he needs to crawl before he walks. He's been taken advantage of some trucking companies and getting him a decent one would be worth my time to get himself established. Then, if he wants to go farther than that, he can and I can help him as well. But I think we seem to be missing an intermediate step.
Thanks again for your help. I will continue to research and learn about this industry. Thank you all for your help and I wish you all the very best!
If anyone had any companies I should refer him to, I'd love to get a list to have him check out. What should he expect to make with these guys? All I want for him is to pay his bills in the best way he can.
THANKS AGAIN!!!Siinman Thanks this. -

This business is cyclical , if he hires on with a better company ,and gets more experience to where he is thriving as a company driver, then maybe in a few years it might be a good move for him

I was told, “Six, all she needs is a good Man.”
If you knew this woman, how would you help her? What are the odds of her being the root problem?
You heard people talking about the market and the industry and truck reliability…but what if your brother is the problem? It doesn’t matter who owns the truck, the driver still had better have some sort of business sense to him. How are you going to help him if he’s the issue?Constant Learner and gentleroger Thank this. -
