I have 2 years experience all endorsements, manual restriction though. I was going to go back to magnum but I kinda want to try something different. I was looking into ashley furniture but they offered 52 cpm all miles seems low, but seems like it's less of a headache, a lot of drop n hook and able to sleep at dcs....I already applied for the usual suspects ltl and fuel hauling but nobody's hiring in my area (raleigh nc). My plan is to either get 1 more year experience and try walmart or wait for fuel hauling to start hiring again. I read some of that ashley furniture thread in good companies but he really just talks about how his day went. Any suggestions? I applied to a lot of the tanker companies Chinatown suggested but couldn't get anything out of that.

    Ashley has an excellent reputation.
Have you looked closely at Walmart? Over $100G a year. Driver no-touch freight.

Yeah but I need 1 more year experience for walmart, I was looking to gain that at ashley because I got burnt out with the reefer grind, seems like ashley could be pretty comfortable as far as drop and hooks and delivering.

You posted you have 2 yrs. experience, which means you only need 6 more months to qualify for Walmart.

Yeah but I'll at least give my new company a year and I would still need a new job anyway.

    Are you still in NYC?

If not -- what is your zip code?

How's your driving record? Any accidents/incidents/citations?

    Are you currently employed?

Yeah -- fuel hauling is slow right now; should pick back up starting in mid-January.

    Have you applied here, already:

I've heard Ashley drivers get a 34 at home every weekend.

    And not 5 minutes more.....
