Well if you know anyone else that is interested let me know. They can reach me at enoland11@hotmail.com and I hope you get on with us. Did she tell you that we pay for your way to get to orientation and we also provide you with lunch and board?

:biggrin_2556: lol, slow down there son,,if they are paying the $500 for the week ,that $500 will either go for the hotel or something else,,,remember trucking companys just dont give you money to come to work for them!!!! or in all that speacialized training there will be cost,,for one thing or another ,,but make no mistake by the end of your two weeks you will either owe them moneys that will be deducted from you settlements at 25-100 bucks a week plus what ever your bus ticket cost,,,,,,,,,,,,,,remember i said this im not trying to be a dream taker,,just being realistic ,,,already been thru this rodeo,,,,,,,,,,,remember nothing in life is free ,but best of luck hope all works out for you:biggrin_25525:

Also there is no deductions. They pay your way there and home if you don't make it. Not all co's are crooks.

I know plenty of companies that provide transportation, pay for meals and boarding, and don't charge the driver for the service....you don't like to see anyone getting an honest deal do you? You "been through this rodeo?" really...you don't show any experience...just another jaw-boner I guess!

Hey THD congrats! When you pass thru the next level of approval they will get you a bus ticket and probably have a list of things that you should bring. It's always a good idea to not pack too heavy for orientation. As you will be going out with a trainer you wont need a cb or a fridge, but probably a sleeping bag and pillow, clothes and personal hygiene stuff. When you talk to the recruiter again get them to email you a list.
Good luck and always remember to BE SAFE

I'm not too woried about it, as this isn't my first rdeo either. I do intend to have them put all of this in writing, as well as I have already made copy of all of their info on their website, of which, has been copyrighted and is filed there in Washington DC, therefore, making it a legal document / advertisement.

I have yet however, (& I am currently searching) to locate the federal motor carrier Regs in regards to the fact that a company must provide a potential employee transportation to the individuals state line, should the carrier so chooses not to hire them after paying the individuals transportation to their offices. How true this is, I do not know, but if there is a law out there stating this, I will find it, copy it & keep it with me. Always CYOA. ;)

Never heard of this in the regs...you are taking a chance I guess, when accepting their transportation and lodging offer...but I havn't seen anything bad (or really bad) about them on this forum and I have been here for a little while..."not my first rodeo" so to speak.

    good luck driver...enjoy the ride!

    Everett Thanks this.
