We have a hotel on site that all drivers going through orientation get to use for free. We also pay for the bus ticket to get to orientation unless the person decides to use a different means of transportation in which we will reimburse them for the amount the bus ticket would have cost. We also provide lunch for them during orientation
Looking for OTR drivers

Hi Scott, I too can not wait to meet everyone there. I am soooooo eager to get started that I am already packed, shoes by the door, both phones tied to my hip, afraid to go to the store that I might miss the dispatch calls, LOL <BR><BR>
I've never been afraid of work, I guess it's like a sever adiction for me. I just can't be standing still. It Drives me crazy, Litterally. Shoe me once, answer my questions directly, double check my work, & if all if fine, get the heck out of my way. If not, I'm sure to get board and if that happens, I'm no good to anyone, LOL. <BR><BR>
Please do not take what I said above too personal, I mean about getting a disqualifide employee home. I've always been one to do my best to follow all of the rles, even if I didn't fully agree with them. But being this way, I expect everyone else in the game to do the same.

Scott. I've been chatting with a few of the drivers from Maverick on here in regards to the Specialized Div (Glass) and for the most part, they've told me that it's definately not one of the best ways to go, mainlyu because of a few things: safety--The trucks are not cared for or maintained as well as those in the US fleet, 2. Having to deal with the Canadian Customs can really put one way behind scheduale, causing the driver to have to take a hit in their performance reviews etc. 3. The trucks on the inside are pretty much ragged out. 4. The glass div is not under Maverick's control, but another company. <BR><BR>
Is this True? I mean, yeah, .46/mi sounds great and all, but if there is a bunch of crap that goes along with it, and add to the fact of having to live in a ragged out truck to boot, what's the sence, especially if one is only going to get home every 14 days, if they're lucky. Please help me to make an inteligent decision here that is right for me.

Does Maverick have freight running in and out of southern California? I don't see a hiring area map on their website.

Hi Scotmart...
Saw your post. my sig other and myself both have CDL, hazmat, doubles-triples and tanker endorsement ...but he got his very recently after graduating from accredited school, and i received mine last year after also graduating. i have 8 weeks DRIVING experience, but over a year of essentially residing in both regional and OTR tractors with friends. We are both responsible, safe drivers and are seeking driving jobs KNOWING there will be a time driving separately. Not a problem. Does your company do Teams? O/O is something else we are considering....even pre-approved to purchase late model tractor... but finding 1st and 2nd jobs VERY hard to find! We have medical cards, long forms, anything a potential employer would want. Please let me know if this is an option for either of us...you and us!Thank you!
