Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
Looking for peace and quite

-
Saving some time with email swaps etc. I can answer much here.
The town it's close to has just about everything you could want. As far as necessities go. Not very big, but big enough. We don't have a super center though
But we have 6 within 40 miles any direction.
It's located in a dry county. Meaning you'll have to drive 10 miles for a beer.
40 miles for a strip club
A 45 minute drive can put you in larger towns/cities for anything you can't find here. Like Red Lobster and a movie.
Folks are nice for the most part, and respect your privacy. Although there are a handful of nosy b#####.
If you had a chance to see "My Big Fat Redneck Wedding" that featured the wedding at "Stinking Jims"...you got a look at your potential neighbors. Stinking Jims is about a mile from that house. And the folks in the wedding, were locals for the most part. -
what style house is it? a ranch probly 1 story, any trees! thats what im looking for is peace and quite .
Is it a full brick or partial?
ive been called a perfectionist by more than a few people! so i try to take good care of everything i have!
i was so mad when i saw my new truck damaged i started selling a bunch of stuff !lol i kinda regret it now cause i sold some rifles an pistols, welders, new tvs for my trucks with dvd players built in, for dirt cheap now everyones wanting those deals . ive calmed down sense then tho! and came to my senses,. i just wanted to leave that day!lol
how long have you lived there? -
I guess you would call it ranch. I'm no housing expert LOL. It is one story, I'd say over 80% grey brick. Approx 1200-1400 sq ft. Maybe more since the guy closed the carport in, with wood. It can easily be restored to it's original function.
It's not going to be 100%. You will have to do some work. But nothing outrageously expensive...simple stuff.
And yes it has trees. None in the front yard though.
And I have lived in this area, off and on my entire life. And if you speak to the locals, they get a glazed look in their eyes when you mention my name....so my wife says LMAO. She's not from here, so she always gets asked who she's married too.
Law enforcement, typical small town. Most won't bother you if you're acting right. But they do enjoy an occasional good scrap
One of our new officers wanted to know if ANYONE in town actually had a drivers license LOL
-
Ok now tell us whats wrong with it
-
in TX that crap don't happen because everyone knows you will get shot for it.
I may have an opertunity to move up. I have a double wide on 13 fully wooded acres with a spring fed pond i'd rent for probably $900mo -
Nothing really, minor repairs needed. Unless you consider that the original owner didn't like his neighbors...and shot one of them for trespassing.
Well, that's not completely true. They were neighborly up until the now dead neighbor decided to install an new and improved 2nd gate to his property. In the guys yard.
FREE, I'll be sending those pics in a couple of hours. -
